Staffelbach Client Showcased in D Magazine

November 12, 2010

We were very pleased to see our interior architecture and design client, Dahlgren Duck, featured in D Magazine’s November/December issue of D Home.

Dahlgren Duck is a purveyor of fine furnishings. We were honored that they selected us to be their interior architecture and design firm to create the fabulous new showroom space they moved into.

Located in the Design District of Dallas, the new showroom space was custom designed to show some of the most beautiful luxury pieces known. Our own lighting designer added to the effect with his expertise and thorough understanding of how the human eye and brain works to process and pick up the most pleasant of imagery.

It is always a pleasure to see our clients spaces speak for them the way that Dahlgren Duck’s space has.

STAFFELBACH: Creating Newsworthy Spaces

September 21, 2010

Southwestern Medical Foundation is moving next door to the original Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

The full column is by known real-estate columnist, Steve Brown, of the Dallas Morning News.

You can read it here: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/stories/DN-foundation_16bus.ART.State.Edition1.26bf442.html

In the article, Steve says:

Southwestern Medical Foundation is moving its offices to the historic Parkland Hospital complex where the UT Southwestern Medical Center got its start in 1943.

In January, the foundation offices will be in a new building next door to the recently restored historic building at Maple and Oak Lawn avenues.

That space that they are moving to is being designed by Staffelbach.

Another recent news item comes from USA Today:

By Ben Mutzabaugh, USA TODAY

American Airlines announced this week that it will relocate its operations at San Francisco International to the airport’s new Terminal 2 sometime in the spring of 2011. Currently, AA operates out of SFO’s Terminal 3. AA says that “in conjunction with the terminal move, American will construct a brand-new Admiral’s Club lounge,” which it adds “will be the only airport lounge in Terminal 2.”

That brand-new Admiral’s Club lounge is being designed by yours truly, as well.

We are always honored to be a part of the projects that become a part of your lives.

STAFFELBACH COMPLETES COLLABORATION WITH WORLD AFFAIRS COUNCIL

August 20, 2010

DALLAS, TEXAS – August 20, 2010– National interior architecture and design firm, Staffelbach, has completed 7,800 square foot of office space for the Dallas / Fort Worth World Affairs Council. Staffelbach assisted in every facet of project development from the selection of the new location to the build out, design and furniture coordination.

“This project was an opportunity for us to assist an organization that assists so many others,” said Jo Heinz, Staffelbach president and CEO. “For us to be a part of every aspect of their decision in finding a new home for their work was a delight. We felt we were a part of their family.”

Working closely with the Council, Staffelbach established budget pricing for the entire project which included construction, furniture and signage. It was within that agreed-upon scope that Staffelbach was able to coordinate with contractors and vendors to create cost-effective alternatives. A great amount of thought was put into the green-initiatives of the project, as well. The environmental sustainability of the project was encouraged by being able to reuse approximately 25% of the building’s existing products.

Staffelbach’s expertise, and continuous study of the way design positively affects workers occupying a space, provided increased work space flexibility while encouraging collaboration among the members. The Council moved into their new home, located on the 42nd floor of Republic Tower, in May where they are now able to host events in-house – a task previously impossible to execute.
